The Panthers picked up an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) wrestling win at home Feb. 8 over #20 Greensboro College, winning 39-11 at Swartz Gym.
Ethan Fargoso, Tyler Ramirez, and Jonathan Ward were all honored during senior night
Adrian Samano, sophomore, (125 pounds), and Zach Beckner, junior, (133) started things off for the Panthers, each posting a tech fall in the first period. Jon Ward (141) lost a tech fall to Greensboro All-American Josh Wilson. Joseph Olalde, sophomore, (149) then picked up a forfeit to make it a 17-5 Ferrum lead.
Ramirez, (157) earned a 16-1 tech fall, Mateo Villalobos, Sophomore,(165) secured a first-period pin and Franklin Melton, freshman, pulled a hard-fought 21-3 tech fall. Fragoso, (184), and Joesph Turner, freshman, (197) each lost a decision and the score was 33-11 Ferrum.
#7–Rayshawn Dixon (285) earned a first-period pin to remain a perfect 26-0 on the season with 12 pins. Dixion’s pin made the final score 39-11.
