In a scoreless half from both men’s soccer teams, Adrien Danley, freshman, would assist on a goal from Payton Rausch, junior, making it the first goal of the game versus Bridgewater. Nine minutes after the previous goal, Anthony Ceballos-Medina, sophomore, scored a goal assisted by Rausch.
The Panthers completed the shut out against Bridgewater College 2-0 Sept. 1.
In a close game against Greensboro College later Wednesday of that week, Danley scored the first goal at the 30 minute mark and went into the half 1-1.
At the start of the second half, Greensboro went ahead 2-1, but Jesus Ramirez , junior, assisted on a goal to Jonathan Nicacio, junior to tie the game at 2-2.
In the final minute, Greensboro put one in the back of the net to go ahead and take the win 3-2.
Men’s soccer also lost in a tough battle against Pfeiffer College 4-0 this past Saturday.
The men rounded out the week on Sept. 10, dropping one to Southern Virginia University 2-3. The team’s overall record stands at 2-3.
The men’s next game will be tomorrow, Sept. 13 at home against Mary Baldwin at 7 p.m.
