With an 8k trek ahead, men’s cross country took on the Roanoke College Invitational at Green Hill Park on Sat., Oct. 19.

The Ferrum five ran hard, landing the team in 12th place overall.

For junior Josh Mills, the race was his best yet. He finished 95th out of 154 runners with a time of 29:13.4–more than a minute faster than his previous personal best and taking the #5 all-time running time for the college.

Junior Kayden Ryder followed Mills’ lead, taking 138th with a time of 34.00.3.

Junior Logan McClung and senior Greyson Crouch came in 149th and 151st, with senior Damauri McPherson right behind them in 154th.

The team will return to the same race on Nov. 2 for the ODAC cross country championships, led by coach Andre Kidd.
