Seniors, Tae Allen, Charles Tart III, and Zavier Measmer were all recognized before the Panthers hosted Bridgewater Saturday.

When the game began, the offense was clicking early, jumping out to a 28-13 lead halfway through the first half.

By the end of the first half Ferrum held its 15-point lead with a score of 42-27.

In the first half the Panthers shot more than 50% from the field and behind the arc.

But on the other side of the ball, the Eagles shot 10-27 from the field and just 2-8 from three-point range.

The domination continued in the second half.

Within the first 10 minutes of the second half, the Panthers extended their lead to as many as 27 points.

The second half offense production clicked inside the paint for Ferrum, but the team shot only 4-15 from deep in the second half.

The final score was 90-52, leaving the seniors and their families happy coming off the floor.

Junior, Gerren Jones had the hot hand Saturday shooting 10-16 from the field and 5-7 from three to go along with nine rebounds.

First-year Ashton Troutman tallied a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.

The three seniors recognized combined for 39 points, 11 rebounds, and 14 assists.

Ferrum had one of its more dominating performances in the paint with 50 points inside and attacked the glass–out-rebounding the Eagles 42-29.

The Panther defense also forced 16 turnovers, leading to 16 points on the other end of the floor.

This was a necessary win for the team after a loss to Randolph College, snapping a four-game losing streak.

The men will host Washington and Lee tomorrow at 7:00 p.m. with five regular-season games remaining.

Ferrum currently holds a 5-6 conference record, putting them in sixth place in the conference.

To make the postseason tournament, the team would have to finish in the top-8 in conference play.

Two games against Washington and Lee, a trip to Averett, and chances at redemption against Randolph and Roanoke will determine the team’s postseason fate.
