After a 4-game skid, men’s basketball has won its last three to move the conference record to 7-6 with three regular-season games remaining.
Following the Senior Day win over Bridgewater 90-52, Washington and Lee traveled to Swartz Gym.
The Panther offense was clicking on all cylinders from the jump.
Starting halfway through the first half, the next 6+ minutes would be dominated by the Panthers.
At 9:42 to go, Ferrum held a 16-14 lead, after a three from Bryce Breeden.
The next time the Generals would score was with 3:19 to go in the first half.
In that span, the Panthers went on a 20-0 run.
When the first half ended, Ferrum led 44-19.
The team shot 18-34 from the field, and 7-12 from the three in the first half to along with their strong defense holding W&L to 7-26 from the field.
The Generals put up better numbers offensively in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to catch up.
Ferrum put up another dominating half offensively shooting north of 60% from the field and hitting eight threes.
When the final buzzer sounded, the Panthers earned the win 101-68.
For the game, the team shot more than 55% from the field and behind the arc.
Charles Tart III, senior, led the team in scoring with his career high of 26 points since joining the team last season.

On Feb. 8, the team travelled to Averett to take the in-season sweep after winning the first matchup 66-54 in early December.
This matchup was a tale of two halves for the Panthers, but again their defense did enough to get another double-digit win.
By the mid-way point in the first half, Ferrum had a 21-7 lead.
After hitting 15-30 shots from the field and seven from three, Ferrum led 40-28 going into the locker room.
When they returned for the second half, the team shot cold.
9-25 shooting from the field and 0-8 from three-point range doesn’t fit in the style Corrigan’s team usually plays.
But when the shots from distance weren’t falling, the team found ways to get inside and to the free-throw line.
In the second half, Ferrum shot 10-12 from the free-throw line and finished with 26 points in the paint.
The 68-54 win against Averett keeps Ferrum in a position to control their own destiny into the playoffs.
Ferrum’s next game is tomorrow night at 7 p.m. in Swartz Gym against Randolph College.
