Ferrum College’s Women’s and Men’s track and field team left it all on the turf March 1 at the ODAC Championships in Salem, VA.
First-year Jamal Jones highlighted the event, placing 4th overall in the 60m and ranking #44 nationally in Division III men’s track and field. He also placed 11th in the 200m.
Junior Deonte Lawson followed quickly behind, taking 15th in the 200m and 10th in the long jump.
First year Jordan Smith flourished in the finals placing fifth in the 400m. Senior Na-Shawn Greene finished soon after in 9th.
Junior Kayden Ryder continued their streak taking 7th in the 800m.
First-year Max Madsen jumped 6th place in high jump, 4th in the long jump, and 3rd in the triple jump.
Sophomore Kyle Holcomb placed 14th in the weight throw and 19th in the shot put.
Greene, Ryder, Smith, and Lawson led their 4×400 relay to a 6th place victory, while Ryder, junior Logan McClung, senior Greyson Crouch, and junior Josh Mills took 9th in the distance medley relay.
Senior Ariana Beverley placed 19th in the high jump, with sophomore Emma Kelley in 23rd.
