Ferrum Young Life became competitive with a game night April 8.
The small group played a few games like, Hues and Cues, which is a game that can play 3-10 people, and it is focused on communication and color association.
Another, Tapple, can play 2-8 people and is a fast pace game that you guess a word in a category to the letter before the 10-second timer runs out.
“Game night is one of those events that everyone gets excited for because we get to truly bond with Young Life peers while doing something fun and competitive,” said junior Samantha Reinhart.
A friendly rivalry formed once games began, with Tapple being the most competitive amongst the group.
“It was a blast just getting to hang out and play games with everyone,” said Junior Bryan Rosado.
It is a night more than just games, attendees were able to relax and be themselves and have fun, let loose of any stress as the semester comes to an end.
“It was fun to get everyone together and try some new games in a competitive yet fun way, while also getting to just debrief and connect with others” said junior Austin Brigman.
The real win wasn’t just the games, it was the sense of community.
