A guided paint session was offered by artist local April Ropp, last Friday in the Panther’s Den. The event was advertised as a Paint and Sip hosted by Student Activities, who also provided mocktails.

“The drinks were a great addition to the painting. They had some sort of red and orange drink that was tangy. There was also one with pieces of mango and mint, it was my favorite,” Jacob Stephens, junior, commented.

The attendees for Paint and Sip were required to register for one of the 30 spots available, all of which filled up.

“I believe this is the biggest session I have led,” stated Ropp.

Attendees were provided a blank canvas, along with brushes, and the required colors for the painting. Ropp instructed the students throughout the process of painting a barrel, grapes, a wine glass, and leaves.

The event was very successful and provided a wide variety of results.

Happening this week, student activities will be working with greek life to host events February 6-10 for anyone interested in joining.
