Six Panthers on the women’s track team raced at Liberty University this past Saturday on the indoor track in the Liberty Open.

Airiana Beverley and Genesis Piniero finished at the top of the team. Beverley placed 33rd in the long jump at 4.37m, and Pineiro ended 34th in the 800 meters with a time of 2:34.47.

“I was really proud of our team this weekend. They have been working extremely hard and the results are showing. Several of our athletes had lifetime PRs this weekend,”  Head Coach Mark White stated.

The Panthers women’s track team, as well as the men’s, will be competing again tomorrow, Feb. 11 at the Roanoke Invitational, hosted by Roanoke College, at the Cregger Center.
