The Panthers dropped its first men’s wrestling dual meet of the season today at the Sam Case Classic to #24 McDaniel College, falling 35-13 at the Gill Center. Case was McDaniel’s head wrestling coach from 1965 through 1989.

The Green Terror roared back, winning the next seven weight classes from 141 to 197 pounds, including six bonus point wins. That streak included three pins, a pair of tech falls, and a major decision and gave McDaniel an insurmountable 35-8 lead.

A number of exhibitions were held following the dual, with Ferrum’s Cody Agnell, freshman, pinning his opponent, Walker Bell, freshman, posting a tech fall and Samson St. Germain, freshman, winning by decision.
