Field Hockey Falls 5-0

The Panthers dropped a non-conference field hockey game at home Sunday to visiting Allegheny College, falling 5-0 at W.B. Adams Stadium.

Becca Winton opened scoring with a goal at 2:36, off a pass from Kinsley Greenlaw. Debbie Nalesnik then made it a 2-0 game just 38 seconds later with Maya Francisco assisting on the goal.

Ella O’Connor scored at 23:31 off a Bella Cowan pass, then Greenlaw had an unassisted goal in the 26th minute of play to make it 4-0 at the break. Eva Cucinelli added an unassisted second-half goal at the 50:10 mark to close out scoring.

The loss puts the Panthers at 1-1 and Allegheny at 3-0.

Coach Chardonnay Hope’s team will be back in action Friday, September 9, at Ohio Wesleyan University. The non-conference game is scheduled to get underway at 7:00 p.m. in Delaware, Ohio.
