Biblical Scholar and New York Times Best-Selling Author Dan McClellan is set to speak to students, staff, and public attendees in the Vaughn Chapel at 6 p.m., tonight.
Followed by a meet-and-greet, McClellan will present the common misconceptions of the Bible and the impact of evidence-based scholarship on its prevention.
McClellan is best known for his book, The Bible Says So: What We Get Right (and Wrong) About Scripture’s Most Controversial Issues, as well as his for his podcast, Data Over Dogma, that encompasses scripture and religious traditions. McClellan was the recipient the Society of Biblical Literature’s Richards Award for Public Scholarship in 2023 and is considered a world-class scholar.
McClellan is also a notable social media influencer, widely followed on TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube.
