Everyday on this campus we are reminded of our motto: “Not Self But Others”.

Two members from each club on campus, Thurs., Feb. 2, came together to package food for children in the Franklin County district to take home after school.

The Harvest Pack event is an event that happens often where non perishable goods are collected. Students at Ferrum College package the goods in estimated numbers, making sure each child gets enough food to last a while.

“It was a great event. We helped out many people, and I felt great doing so” expressed Olivia Turner, sophomore, field hockey player.

These events, according to college officials, are not only important because families are being fed, but it is everything that the college tries to instill into their students.

“It felt very inspiring and enriching to give back to the community of people who have less then I do, ” said Gabby Hernandez-Escobar, sophomore, and Theta Chi Epsilon member.
