Women’s Track Runs it Back

The Panther’s women’s track team headed to Lynchburg last weekend to compete in the Jack M. Tomas Alumni Invitational, hosted at the University of Lynchburg at Shellenberg Field.

The 4×400 team of Airiana Beverly, sophomore, Jordan Hairston, senior, Trina Lewis, junior, and Tejah Yates, year, snagged a third-place finish with a time of 54.82. In the shot put, Heaven Lee, freshman finished 14th. In the 400 meter race, Hairston also placed 14th,  and Lewis finished in 17th.

Yates finished the 200-meter race in 43rd place, and the 400-meter featured Hairston in 14th  and Lewis in 17th. Genesis Pineiro, senior, ended in 24th and Lacey Flanagan, senior, in 53rd.

The Panthers will be back on track at the Randolph WildCat Track Festival Fri. and Sat., April 7-8, at Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA.
