Enjoy a peace of mind with SET and Morgans Message at Self-Care Sunday.

That’s the goal of the Student Engagement Team led by Melanie Rooks, coordinator, and Hannah Huffman, coordinator of Student Affairs.

These Sunday’s are meant for students to unwind and have a time to themselves where they won’t have to stress over anything going on.

They can just be present.

“I think self-care nights are special because they happen on Sundays, which is a nice day of the week to reset and to just take care of yourself,” said Huffman.

This past meeting they had water-color painting, vision boards, skin care, a free snack, tea, and hot chocolate.

“I think it is a good opportunity  for people to relax and become aware on ways to have self care, whether that be artistic, cleansing your skin or being around people you don’t normally see all the time,” said senior Hannah Wray.

Self-care Sundays occur once or twice a month every semester.

“I like that it’s a calm environment, and very welcoming by Melanie Rooks, and that you can just distract yourself from whatever you have going on in your life and just decompress,” said sophomore Charlotte Alley.
