Women’s Soccer Edges Out Chowan

On Oct. 28 thw Lady Panthers Soccer Team took on Chowan in a Conference Carolinas game winning 12-1.

Ten minutes into the first half the Hawks took the score board with their first and only goal in the game.

Sophomore Breanna Herlihy scored for Ferrum with :38 seconds left in the first half with an assist from first-year Reagan Jones taking the score to 1-1. The Panthers took the tie into the halftime break.

In the second half, sophomore Amber Nichole Gillen scored with a pass from first-year Macy Taylor in minute 81, securing the Panther win.

Senior Ashli Wuss put in the work all 90 minutes, saving 9 balls, as well as stopping a PK from Chowan to set the win in stone for Ferrum.
