The Honors 211 class will be having a birthday party on Oct. 15.

The class will be celebrating the centennial birthday of the surrealism movement.

The celebration will be held in Vaughn Chapel, Room 109 from 3-4 p.m. The event will include refreshments as well as examples of surrealist art and writing accompanied with discussion of the pieces.

All are welcome to join the festivities as the class celebrates the origins of the surrealist movement, which began in 1924 in France.

“Everyone on campus is invited,” said English Professor John Kitterman.
